Forever Remembered Country Music #1

You hear one of those songs come on the radio, those ones that will give you shivers on a humid Heartland summer day when your sweating yet you just shivered. We all know those songs as some of the most influential, real to life, remembered songs for generations to come. I'm gonna start this new label on Wenya and Yoeli called the "Forever Remembered Country Music". This label will consist of the songs that can make any cowboy or cowgirl shiver because of the impact of the song. I don't know if other genres have songs like those in country music (due to the fact I've only ever listened to country music my entire life), but the songs in country music describe my life. I'm sure they explain your life, as well.

Brad and Carrie for the CMAs

I was just watching the announcement that Brad and Carrie would be doing the 2013 CMAs, and they played some of the clips from previous CMAs hosted by them which are hilarious.

But my all time favorite...

Country Must Be Country Wide

As country folks, we sometimes have this narrow mind set about where we live, whether it's pure country or just country. And most of us like to think we're pure country, so where we live is to but it isn't always pure country. Cowgirls and cowboys can live in the city, how you suppose to go to college to be a vet or a cowgirl photographer. Some cowgirls and cowboys just don't have the money to put down anything more than an apartment and don't have any choice but to live in town. I'm guilty of using this stereotype that country people have to live in the country. Yes, most do live in the country but not all of them and we forget that a great deal of the time.

The southerners and the Texans are gonna be extra stereotypical about this topic; I just know you. To explain in brief how I know you, I'm part Texan myself, but I've lived longer in the Heartland. It isn't hard to tell just how stereotypical all ya'll are either. If your in the South for just one week you learn the Southern or Texan pride, depending on where you go, and I mean us non-southerners spending a week.

Two Black Cadillacs

I've been waitin' for this video ever since I saw the trailer, and it finally has arrived. All that build up I've been experiencing can go down now!

RaeLynn

Have I mentioned I love this Texan? Well, if I haven't, "ya'll I love this Texan!" Her voice is pure Southern twang with a Texan drawl. If you wanna hear a thick drawl with Southern twang you better go on 'n listenin' to this girl.

"Country Music is Monday through Friday..."

When Gary Allan was in an interview with Taste of Country the interviewer stated, "You've been as good as anyone at bearing your soul and throwing your entire self into a song".
"Thanks, to me that what country music is. Country music is Monday through Friday, and pop's about what happens on the weekends"                                                                                    - Gary Allan
Country music is life. Some people don't believe that country music is real life, but I believe it is.
  • Girls can be good girls but want bad boys like Carrie Underwood's song 'Good Girl'.
  • You can feel like your drowning in pain and it never stops just in time for you to have a chance at lovin' life again like Gary Allan's song 'Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)'.

Every Storm (Runs Out of Rain)

When life gets tough, toughen your faith because no matter what you think your going through or what you have done God will catch you when you fall.

Better Dig Two

Okay, the Band Perry has redeemed themselves in my eyes now. I love this song, but I always did prefer the cruel loves songs over the sweet ones.

Yoeli's Christmas Classics

Well I read my cousin's post on her top 50 Christmas songs and figured I could come up with my own arrangement. But I will say that I definitely couldn't come up with fifty of them, it will probably be more like twenty or fifteen :) So here's to the holidays :)

10. Born on Christmas Day - Brad Paisley

9. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer - Elmo & Patsy

8. Christmas Cookies - George Strait

Holiday Time '12: Taste of Country - Top 50

Baha, (Yes that was me laughing...) I'm one of those weird people that likes Christmas music extra lot...get over it. So I just thought maybe if there was more of ya'll then I could share my passion for it.

I never can get enough of Christmas country songs. There is just something that sets the country version of Christmas songs higher then all of the others genres in my mind. That may just be my own world and thoughts, but I'm sure there are others that have the same thought as I do. So for this year's holiday time I'm gonna post a list of Country songs from different sources, and in the end I'll give you my personal favorites list. (YouTube Playlist at bottom of list for you to listen to.)

So here is Taste of Country's Top 50 Country Christmas Songs. My absolute favorite songs (and those that have a music video) I put the video underneath.

50. Tim McGraw - Dear Santa
49. Reba McEntire - Up on the Housetop
48. Newsong - The Christmas Shoes

Till My Last Day

Don't Cheat on a Cowgirl's Heart

I wrote this for a friend last night, and just thought I'd share.

Heartache.
Makes a cowgirl go from "angel eyes"
to "hell on heels".
You don't cheat on a cowgirl,
especially if you value your life; even the slightest bit.
Cowgirls are like cowboys,
but worse for your status of breathin' or long gone.
Some cowgirls can do anything
a man can do better.
Other cowgirls are some of the best cowboys 'round.

Heartache

This is kind of sad, yet really tells the story of my life...
